Umbrella Functional Consulting & Support Team is looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our leadership team. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and daily routines
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to community activities, appointments, and social events
- Foster independence and skill-building through positive reinforcement and person-centered approaches
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members regarding client needs and progress
- Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges and crisis situations following established protocols
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; experience in human services, caregiving, or IDD support preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- ODP Direct Support Professional Certification
- Ability to pass background checks, including PA State Police and FBI clearances
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to lift, assist, and support clients with mobility needs as required

Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Home and community based adult disability services agency. Umbrella FCST offers direct support professional services and behavioral health clinical team to individuals with Medicaid waivers.

As a mother of a child with severe Autism and Pica, danger lurks everywhere and parental fear is immense. Questions about the future of our children when they become adults, and what that life will be like for them, as well as for us as parents, is left unanswered, or left to dreams we aspire to provide our adult children.
What will the adult lives of our children be like? Will our children stay with us for the remainder of our days? And then what? I have dedicated my life to the goal, to be the answer I look for in society.
